Investors

The concept of local investing is simple:  individuals enter into loan agreements with entrepreneurs in their local community because they want to help good people with solid business plans succeed, and because doing so supports and strengthens their local community.

Anyone interested in helping our community in this way is welcome to join COIN as an investor member, regardless of the amount of resources you are able and willing to potentially make available to an entrepreneur and project of your choice.  The first step is to apply for membership in COIN using our New Member Application form.  All COIN members sign our Membership Agreement that details matters of procedure, confidentiality, and dispute resolution.

Through COIN, you’ll gain access to background information on Local Investment Networks (LINs), loan agreement templates and other documents you may or may not choose to work from, access to recommended legal resources to support your endeavors, and opportunities to meet entrepreneurs who have solid, vetted business plans.

The rest is up to you!
